Bocce Tournament - Savoy Club (9am - 4pm, Saturday, May 15)
Watch the teams play off against each other for a special trophy then let the experts teach you how to play the game. Enjoy a meal and a drink whilst you are at the club. Entry is free.


 

Soccer Challenge Match - Savoy Club (8.30am to 4.30pm, Sunday, May 16)
Myrtleford and Wangaratta go head to head at a series of games involving Seniors, Reserves, Juniors and Ladies teams. There will be some great Italian food to try while you watch the sides slug it out. Entry is free.


 

 

Spaghetti Western Film Festival - Myrtleford Memorial Hall (Sunday, May 16)
Three classic westerns in one day! These films are not suitable for children. Tickets, $12 per film. Tickets available at the Myrtleford Visitor Information Centre or at the Box Office on the day.
1pm: "A Fistful of Dollars" (90 min.) R18+
4pm: "For a Few Dollars More" (131 min.) MA15+
8pm: "The Good, the Bad & the Ugly" (156 min.) MA15+
If you are planning to attend the first film, stay on after to show for the launch of a new book, "Parlato in Italiano - The Heyday of Italian cinema in Myrtleford in the 1960s". The book is published by the Myrtleford & District Historical Society.

Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow - Myrtleford Savoy Club (8pm, Thursday, May 20)
After the main festival season ends in Melbourne, top comedians take to the road. Five will be in Myrtleford for just the one night, so make sure you book early. Note: Adults-only entertainment. Bar open from 7pm. Tickets, are $30 per head and will be available on the night at the Myrtleford Savoy Club. For the full line-up: click here.

 

Children's Entertainment area - Clyde Street (12pm-3.30pm, Saturday, May 22)
Let the kids have their own fun too at the Food & Wine Expo. There will be a special area set side offering all kinds of entertainment ranging from belly dancing, dance acts, wizardy, face painting, balloon antics to a Jumping Castle!

 

 

Commedia Dell'Arte
Commedia Dell 'Arte is Italian street theatre based on traditional characters and stapstick humour. Keep an eye out for the miserly merchant Pantalone and friends - played by junior members of the Bright Alpine Actors - as they roam the streets of Myrtleford during the Food & Wine Expo on Saturday, May 22 and again at the Living Chess Matches on Sunday, May 23!

Italian Connection Trophy Rally - Elgin Street (From 2.30pm, Saturday, May 22)
Now in its third year, the 2010 rally promises more fun than ever. Some 20 gleaming and exotic cars are expected and they will arrive during the Food & Wine Expo and will park in Elgin Street behind the Coles Supermarket from around 2.30pm onwards. Starting at about 3.30pm, the cars will compete in a motorkhana along a closed section of Elgin Street. They depart early on Sunday morning for Melbourne. Click here to visit the rally website.


Italian Connection Trophy Rally Dinner- Ablett Pavilion (7pm, Saturday, May 22).
Join in a fun evening at the newly refurbished Albett Pavilion with the rally drivers. Good food, fine wines and be entertained by our renowned choir Coro Delle Montagne. Tickets, $35, available at the Myrtleford Visitor Information Centre, or at the door..
Official start of the Italian Connection Trophy Rally (9.30am, Sunday, May 23)
Your final chance to see the cars during their time In Myrtleford. The competitors will be waved off from the car park at the Myrtleford Butter Factory for the drive to Melbourne.

Candlelight Parade - Jubilee Park to McNamara Reserve (Sunday, May 23)
Arrive before 6.30pm to collect your candle then join in a parade from Jubilee Park to the McNamara Reserve on Lewis Ave for the BBQ and fireworks display. The Myrtleford Lions Club will have candles in holders which you can obtain for a gold coin donation.

 

BBQ and Fireworks Display - McNamara Reserve (Sunday, May 23)
Once you've arrived with your lantern, settle down to a BBQ meal and drinks hosted by the Myrtleford Football Club, then watch the spectacular fireworks display which signals the end of La Fiera 2010. There will be a band to entertain you as well. The party ends at 9pm. Definitely no BYO!
