Living Chess Match - Michelini Wines (11am & 3pm, Sunday, May 23) On a September day in 1454 in Marostica near Venice, two men sat down to play a game of chess to win the hand of the Lord's daughter. It was held in public using living people as the chess pieces. Mix the drama with wonderful medieval music and a supporting cast of costumed dancers and nobles and you've got an event that is truly special. Admisson: $15 adults, $5 children under 12. Tickets available at the door on the day of the performance.. Make it a really great outing by joining in the World's Longest Pasta Lunch at the same venue starting at 12.15pm. |
